FT311D-32L1C-R is a full-speed USB host controller for Android. It provides a bridge between peripheral hardware and an Android platform with a USB device port. The FT311D will enumerate the Android platform and provide an interface to either, GPIO, UART, PWM, I²C, SPI. Applications include connect an Android device to a motor controller, motor/robotic device control, connect an Android device to an external microcontroller, debug, firmware upgrades, connect an Android device to external sensors, fleet management, connect an Android device to external storage, data logging, connect an Android device to a printer, print photos from a phone or tablet.
- Single chip USB to selectable interface
- Interface options selectable via 3 mode select pins
- TX-ACTIVE signal for controlling transceivers on RS485 interfaces
- 4 PWM channels option, I²C interface option
- SPI interface option supporting modes 0,1, 2 and 3 with MSB/LSB options
- USB error indicator pin, 12MHz oscillator using external crystal
- Integrated power-on-reset circuit, USB 2.0 full speed compatible
- 3V3 single supply operation with 5V tolerant inputs
- Ambient operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
- 32-pin LQFP package
