Body Electronic & Lighting
Body electronics are in charge of controlling a lot of the systems that are not directly controlling the engine or body-elec. This includes wipers, windows, door locking systems and climate control. It also includes the headlights and internal lighting as well as the chair adjustment, if it is electrical. Because of this wide range of features, it requires a wide range of both inputs and outputs.

 | LDRs are for sensing the level of light. They are used for automatic headlights. If an IR LDR is used along with an IR LED you can make automatic windscreen wipers. |  | MOSFETS Mosfets are used to increase power but to a lesser amount than a power amplifier, e.g. For stepper motors or low power DC motors. |
 | Potentiometers are used for any analogue input in the car, such as climate control dials, and volume dials. |  | MCU The MCU is the Central control. It controls and manages everything. |
 | Thermistors are used throughout the car to sense temperature. In the internal space itself for climate control, in the air flow tubes, and in the engine are just a few places. |  | RTCs are required to keep accurate timings. This ensures that all the systems in the car are in sync. |
 | Switches encompasses all digital switches and are used for everything from lighting, to windows, to door locks. |  | Flash Flash is used as none-volatile memory to store programs and settings, and persistent data. |
 | ADCs are used to convert analogue inputs, like from thermistors, or potentiometers, to digital inputs which can be got through I2C or SPI. This information is for use by the MCU. |  | RAM RAM is quick access volatile memory used for variables, and storing temporary information. |
 | DAC DACs are used to convert digital inputs from an MCU to analogue outputs, e.g. For a heating element or a DC motor. |  | Heating Elements Heating elements are used for climate control to heat air. |
 | Power Amplifiers Power amplifiers are used to amplify analogue signals or boost current and voltage of a digital input. Used to power motors or amplify the output from LDRs or thermistors. |  | Bulbs Bulbs can be used both internally and externally as headlamps or internal lighting. |
 | Lighting drivers are used to control any None-LED bulb, such as headlamps or some internal lights. |  | LEDs LEDS can be used both internally and externally as headlamp or internal lighting. |
 | LED Drivers LED drivers are used to control LEDs e.g. For headlamps or internal lights. |  | Stepper Motors Stepper motors are used for any high torque low speed accurate motor. E.g. For windows, door locking, wipers, etc. |
